Mikela was very proud of her outfit for her first day. She picked out these hot pink boots and the director of the school later gently instructed me that boots are not great shoes for school! Oh well, they will be great Sunday school shoes. Here are some pictures from her first day..

Here is a video about Mikela's first full day of preschool. I can not believe how big our little girl is getting. Wow 3 1/2 years has just flown by.

Kai Turns One

It is crazy to believe that a year has already gone by since Kai was born. He is such a joy and blessing. We love our little man. Here are a few pictures from his day, the party will follow in a few weeks. As is our tradition we started the day at Old West Cinnamon Rolls, then headed to the beach. We then met up with the Nemetz' for lunch at Avila and topped it off with ice cream at Doc Burnsteins with the Youngkins. What a central coast Birthday!

Yeah I know I am a little overdue on the posts and pictures so here are a few from the past month:

Little update on our lives:
Mikela is 2 1/2, talks all the time even to herself, loves playing with her dolls and loves her little brother
Kai is 7 months, just started crawling, loves to wave hi and goodbye, is a total flirt with the ladies and also loves his big sister
Joe and I are good, just crazy busy but enjoying the life the Lord has given us.

We are now home for a while,...at least the next six weeks. In our world that seems like a long time! We have had a lot going on since we have been home and here are some pictures from the last few days!

This summer we have been all over California. We spent most of the summer in So Cal where Joe did some Crusade stuff and took some seminary classes. We had a great time with family and friends. Here is one picture of Day 1 at our house. We left the hospital a day early because I was getting a roomate and the rooms at Sierra Vista are soooo small. So home we came and it was a great idea. Mikela was very excited to have her Mommy and Daddy home and she actually wanted to talk with me. At the hospital she was very weirded out by the bed and machines that she wanted nothing to do with me. Now it is hard because of a c-section I can not pick her up and that is a lot for her little 2 year old mind to get around. She loves her brother and is always checking up on him!

Just wanted to let you all know that Kai William Priola was born on Sunday April 6th at 2:22 in the afternoon. We had hoped for a VBAC but after 10 hours of labor Allison was not dilating so we opted to have a repeat C-Section. We are both doing great and recovering. Kai weighed 7lbs 6ozs and was 19 inches long. We came home yesterday and are adjusting to life with two kids.
Mikela is a proud Big Sister and loves holding Kai. We will post more pictures soon but here are just a few.

Mikela turned two last week, it is crazy to think two years have already gone by. We started a tradition last year of going to Old West Cinnamon Rolls for breakfast and then walking to the beach. You got to love living on the central coast!! We then spent some time at home, opened gifts and then headed to the park for a birthday party. It was a great day and Mikela loved every minute of it. She loved her new presents and loved having all her friends at the park.

Early Easter Egg Hunt

At playgroup today we had an easter egg hunt and celebrated 3 birthdays. It was Caitie's birthday today, Mikela turns 2 tomorrow and Riley turns 1 on Friday. We had so much fun and Mikela loved finding eggs and putting them in her basket. My niece Juliet is visiting also so it was a blast to have her along. Here are some fun pictures. Also I included a few pictures (I am in stripes) where you see my belly, many of you are curious how big I am getting. I am 36 weeks and I am rather large. I get asked all the time if I am having twins!

We had an Intern/Stint recruitment dinner last week and Mikela came along. She wasn't so into the meeting so one of our interns, let her play dress up with her jewelry. Mikela was so stoked and loved putting on every single piece of jewelry that Caellin had. Too fun!!! I can't wait till Mikela playes dress up with her baby brother!

Christmas a bit late

Sorry this is so late. We just put our pictures on our computer from Christmas. Life in the Priola household has been nuts the last two months. We were gone for Christmas for four weeks then came home for one week then headed back South so that Mikela could stay with Grandma and Papa and Mom and Dad could go to Thailand. We got home a week ago and are trying to get our bearings. Grandma potty trained Mikela while Mom and Dad were in Thailand, which was incredible. So Mikela is now a big girl with big girl undies. Mommy is now 31 weeks pregnant and we are realizing that Kai will quickly be joining our little family. We promise more pictures to come, but for now here are some from Christmas!!

Thanksging in SoCal

Although it is only my second Thanksgiving, I have to say that there is nothing better than Thanksgiving SoCal style (no offense to my NoCal, Central Coast, and Central Valley peeps, but it's just the best.) It was 75 degrees and sunny. If that's from Global Warming,...then I'm down. I got to hang at the beach near grandpop's, had picture in picture going with Elmo in one box and the Cowboys game going in the other box. I pounded some turkey and other grub. It sure beats baby food. Mom and Dad had to sit at the kid's table with me because there was no room at the other table. I think they were so stoked about that. We just had a blast. I cannot wait for Christmas. Daddy says, "Santa stole Christmas and we are stealin' it back!". Not sure what that means, but I am gonna be bummed if Santa doesn't hook me up. I've been reading in my little picture Bible and am learning that Christmas is really about Jesus. That's super cool, but I am still gonna be bummed if Santa doesn't show up.

IT'S A.........

So I know you are all wondering what is going on. For those of you that do not know I am pregnant, actually 4 1/2 months pregnant. We just keep forgetting to post it on our blog. Well we found out today what we are having and we are having a BOY!!! We are so excited. I can't believe it and I feel like I don't know what to do with a boy but we know we are going to have a blast. So Kai William should be joining our family sometime around April 9! More updates to come and maybe pictures of my already very large belly!

Late, but worth the wait!!!

The whole Hardy family, 8 adults and 7 kids, headed to Hawaii for a week vacation. Mikela loved the ocean and loved playing with her cousins. After our family left, we stayed for one more week with some long time friends the Websters. We had the chance to visit with the Matsui's where Mikela got to ride a horse and see the Acostas new home! We survived Hurricane Flossy, a Tsunami warning, a fire near the house we were staying in but the worst of all was Tropical Storm Mikela!! She was teething with bleeding gums, running a high fever, broke out in a rash and was waking up every two hours!! It made vacation oh so fun, not. Of course the Tropical Storm hit after our family left so it was all on Mommy and Daddy! But all in all, our time in Hawaii was a blast and it was great to spend time with family and visit with great friends!

Mikela is a total fish. She loves being in the water. She stands on the step and says two and then just steps off/jumps into your arms. It is kinda scary when you are not looking. She also loves going under the water. We can not wait to take her to Hawaii this summer, she is going to love the beach and the ocean.
